Is the online estimate the final price?
No. Online estimates are based on the information provided by the customer and are not a guaranteed final price. Final pricing may be adjusted after Mountain Dawgs reviews the items, access, job conditions and scope of work.
What is the minimum charge?
Mountain Dawgs has a $500 minimum charge. It applies to moving, junk removal and interior demolition work alike.
How does payment work?
A deposit is paid to book and reserve the job. The remaining balance is paid when the job is completed.
Do you provide packing services?
No. All belongings must already be packed, sealed and ready to move before our crew arrives. We will disassemble beds for transport and reassemble them at the new location.
How large will my crew be?
Crew size depends on the size and complexity of the job. We confirm the appropriate crew after reviewing your inventory and access.
Do you move houses or buildings?
No. We move the customer's furniture and belongings out of a house, apartment or business. We do not physically move houses or buildings themselves.
Do you move commercial buildings and offices?
Yes. We handle office relocations, commercial buildings, retail spaces, warehouses, schools, churches, medical offices and internal office moves, including furniture and equipment.
What junk removal and cleanout work do you handle?
Whole-house cleanouts, furniture removal, household junk, estate and property cleanouts, garage and storage cleanouts, move-out debris, dump-trailer service and debris haul-off. Send photos or details so we can confirm the scope.
Are there items you cannot haul away?
We take approved non-hazardous items. Paint, chemicals, solvents, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos material, medical waste, tyres and vehicle batteries are regulated and usually need a licensed disposal facility. Ask us first and we will tell you either way.
What kind of demolition do you provide?
Selective interior demolition for remodeling: kitchen and bathroom tear-outs, cabinets, countertops, flooring, drywall, built-ins, interior fixtures and approved non-structural walls, with the debris hauled off. We are not marketing this service as full-building demolition.
Can you remove a wall for me?
Only non-structural walls, and only after the appropriate licensed professional has identified and approved the removal. We will not guess at whether a wall is load-bearing.
Do you disassemble and reassemble beds?
Yes. Our crew takes beds apart for transport and puts them back together at the new location. It is included, not an add-on.
Do you travel outside North Alabama?
Yes. We primarily serve North Alabama and will travel outside the area for an additional fee. Tell us where you are headed and we will build the plan.
What areas do you serve?
Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, Athens, Cullman, Hartselle, Arab, Guntersville, Scottsboro, Florence, Muscle Shoals, Fort Payne, Priceville, Moulton, Somerville, Falkville and the surrounding North Alabama communities.
How do I get the most accurate quote?
Send photos or a short video. Text them to 256-466-0848 or attach them to the online estimate form. Seeing the actual items, the access and the parking situation is what turns a range into a firm number.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for end-of-month and weekend dates. A deposit is what actually reserves the date on the calendar.
